Exhibition Centre in Liverpool will open its doors on 10th-11th November for the second edition of groundbreaking Northern Powerhouse event

Specifiers, buyers and other decision makers in UK industry and trade are invited to attend the second edition of UKPackaging Expo and the co-located Future Packaging Conference, taking place from 10th-11th November in Hall C of the Exhibition Centre, Liverpool.

Whilst it’s still in its early years, UKPackaging Expo has quickly become a key meeting point for packaging professionals, particularly but not restricted to the North. The contemporary exhibition space is a platform for brands, converters, printers and suppliers to connect with regional partners and explore the latest developments in packaging materials, machinery and sustainability.

With a curated exhibitor list and strong focus on top tier networking, the event offers a credible and convenient alternative to other national shows, which reflects the specific needs and priorities of northern packaging businesses.

International bellwether brands will take to the show floor with a host of exciting new entrants to the marketplace, whilst visitors will discover best-in-class turnkey solutions alongside niche developments and groundbreaking sustainable concepts.

Exhibitors include Unilever, Markem-Imaje, Konica Minolta, Berlin Packaging | BlueSky, BPF (British Plastics Federation), MPMA (Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association), Ravenwood Packaging, Viking Masek and – the most recent sign-ups to the show – Waste Equipment Supplies Ltd, AstroNova, Hybrid Software, U-Pack, Universal Pack, Twin Clothing, Foxpak, Jet Tech Group, Cambridge Tech Park and B&R Moll.

Jordan Bamford, Managing Director of UKPackaging Expo said: “We had a very successful launch at our inaugural event last year and it’s clear that there is a big appetite in this industry for an exhibition that properly serves the north of England. We have established UKPackaging Expo as an invaluable, efficient and cost-effective platform for suppliers in this sector.

As Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), recyclability demands and carbon reporting reshape the industry, the Expo will feature a new sustainable packaging sector, with fantastic pioneers in this sector including Beyondly, EcoPlast, Cradloop, RECOUP, Zevero and Brook Green Supply.

They are set to help businesses meet the challenges of a tightening regulatory landscape, rising expectations around recyclability, and a shift toward carbon‑led decision‑making. The Sustainable Packaging sector mirrors these pressures directly, giving visitors access to suppliers and specialists who are actively developing solutions in these areas. For packaging teams navigating EPR, redesigning for recyclability or seeking credible carbon‑reduction strategies, the show offers a timely and highly relevant platform.

Future Packaging Conference

With packaging now occupying a pivotal position at the intersection of branding, consumer expectations, sustainability, logistics, AI and an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, the Future Packaging Conference will bring these conversations together through a comprehensive two-day programme featuring almost 60 speakers and industry experts.

This year’s conference programme will address sustainability head‑on, with sessions designed to help packaging teams navigate regulatory change and make better environmental decisions.

Across two conference stages, industry experts will explore some of the most pressing issues facing packaging businesses, including Extended Producer Responsibility, Deposit Return Schemes, the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, connected packaging, AI, circularity and sustainable materials. The programme will provide practical insights into regulatory compliance, commercial performance and the technologies influencing packaging decisions.

Naomi Stewart, Head of Marketing at UKPackaging Expo, who put together the stellar Conference programme, said: “Sustainability is reshaping every part of the packaging supply chain, and we’re giving the industry a space where those challenges and opportunities can be explored in a meaningful, commercially focused way. We’re proud to see the show becoming a northern hub for innovation, and are excited to welcome the brands, converters and manufacturers who are driving the next phase of sustainable packaging forward.”
