By installing three high-speed SIG filling machines for aseptic carton packs, Milky Mist can expand its product range, increase output, and cater to various consumption occasions and price points. This collaboration will enable Milky Mist to offer a wide range of packaging formats and sizes to suit diverse consumer needs.
Milky Mist has integrated three SIG filling machines – SIG SmileSmall 24 Aseptic, SIG Midi 12 Aseptic, and SIG XSlim 12 Aseptic – into its manufacturing plant near Erode, Tamil Nadu. These highly efficient machines provide flexibility and speed, allowing for a variety of packaging formats, volumes, and designs. Furthermore, the packs can be combined with convenient opening solutions without complex setups, resulting in increased operational efficiency and cost savings.

Unlike other systems, SIG carton packs are delivered as flat-packed sleeves with the long side already sealed hygienically. This unique filling process prevents product residues or fibers from being trapped, which could lead to contamination. As a result, the quality, taste, nutrients, and natural colors of Milky Mist’s products can be preserved for up to 12 months without refrigeration or preservatives.

The SIG SmileSmall 24 Aseptic filling machine, capable of filling 24,000 carton packs per hour, primarily serves the premium segment. It also allows for aseptic filling of beverages with bits such as real fruit or nut pieces. Additionally, Milky Mist will utilize the SIG filling machines to pack products with higher viscosity like dairy creams.
