Autopack has installed a turnkey sauce-filling line at P&B (Foods), comprising an unscrambler, rotary net-weight filler, capper block and rotary wraparound labeller.

The new system is designed to expand production capacity and limit manual handling as demand for the manufacturer’s sauces continues to rise. It forms part of a wider programme of automation and manufacturing improvements delivered by Autopack since the companies started working together in 2023.

Previous projects have supported P&B (Foods)’ sauce and edible-oil production activities, alongside equipment developed for specialist filling requirements. The investment reflects wider food manufacturing trends, with producers adopting food processing technology to improve efficiency, consistency and output.

Jonathon Stewart, UK sales director, Autopack, said: “We’ve worked closely with the P&B (Foods) team over a number of years, supporting them as volumes have increased and helping them remove bottlenecks through targeted investment in higher-capacity equipment.

“The new high-speed sauce line provides the additional throughput they need while maintaining the levels of reliability and product quality required in a competitive food market.”

Autopack supplied the latest equipment through a phased automation strategy. This approach has enabled P&B (Foods) to add capacity in line with evolving production requirements while responding to broader food and beverage industry trends, including changing food and drink consumer trends and demand for greater operational flexibility.

The project also demonstrates how food and drink industry innovation can support manufacturers as they scale, while helping them respond to food and drink sustainability objectives, packaging expectations and changing food and drink regulations.

Lukasz Szwarczak, production manager, P&B (Foods), said: “Each investment has been made for a clear operational reason, whether increasing capacity, improving automation or supporting business growth.”

The installation is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to meet future demand while supporting efficient food and drink packaging operations and the evolving needs of food distribution trends and food and drink marketing.
