Mondelēz has an extensive portfolio, including popular brands such as Oreo, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Belvita biscuits, 7Days baked snacks, Milka, Cote d’Or, and Toblerone chocolate, as well as Philadelphia cream cheese.
Over the past decade, the two companies have collaborated, and this renewal will allow them to further expand their R&D programs.
DS Smith has announced that new sustainable packaging solutions will be introduced across European markets, with a focus on reducing the use of single-use plastics and achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 through joint efforts with Mondelēz.
Their joint projects will revolve around sustainability measures, such as recyclability, material consumption, product longevity, and supply chain efficiency.
DS Smith’s Circular Design Metrics (CDM) tool, developed in conjunction with the Circular Design Principles, will guide the sustainability efforts of the packaging designs.
