The Isle of Wight Distillery has once again collaborated with FACER Progressive Printed Packaging. This partnership underscores the commitment to food and drink sustainability through innovative design and responsible production.

The Mermaid miniatures gift set functions as a World Land Trust Carbon Balanced Pack, successfully balancing an impressive 4,796kg of CO2e to date. By integrating sustainable packaging solutions, this initiative aligns with current food and drink consumer trends that prioritize eco-conscious choices.

Crafted from mono-material, the packaging features prints using vegetable oil-based inks and water-based coatings, ensuring it is fully recyclable. Both the outer carton and internal fitment derive from the same production sheet of Billerud CrownBoard Prestige, minimizing waste and enhancing efficiency in food and drink packaging.

Xavier Baker, co-founder of the Isle of Wight Distillery, stated: “Our partnership with FACER has been instrumental in turning that ambition into reality. They share our belief that recyclability, responsible sourcing, and minimal environmental impact should sit at the heart of great design.”

Meanwhile, Luke Wilson, managing director of FACER, emphasized: “Our partnership with Isle of Wight Distillery is a powerful example of what is possible when values align. This project combines design, innovation, and sustainability to narrate a truly authentic brand story. One that respects the natural world we all depend on; without healthy ecosystems and wildlife, none of us exist, and we believe our packaging choices have a responsibility to reflect that truth.”

Notably, this pack has now become a finalist in the Packaging News Sustainability & Impact 2026 Summit & Awards, showcasing the importance of sustainable packaging in the food and drink marketing landscape.
