Macpac continues to solidify its leading position in high-quality, cost-effective, and 100% recyclable thermoformed packaging solutions. This year marks the seventh consecutive achievement of the AA grade from the BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials, with zero non-conformances noted during the recent audit.

This latest recognition comes amid a period of robust growth and success for Macpac, which features an in-house design, tooling, and manufacturing operation at its cutting-edge facility in Stockport. The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional food and drink packaging solutions.

Equipped with ten high-performance Illig in-line thermoforming systems and five CNC machines, Macpac’s adaptive approach enables swift and cost-effective project turnaround. This flexibility contributes to ongoing improvements in quality and service, further enhancing its reputation in sustainable packaging.

The BRCGS AA grade represents the pinnacle of food safety standard accreditation, establishing a benchmark for best practices in the packaging industry. This standardization ensures assurance regarding safety, quality, and operational culture, critical for food and drink sustainable packaging.

Graham Kershaw, Macpac’s Managing Director, remarks: “I’m so proud of the teams across our in-house design, tooling and manufacturing operations. It is testament to their hard work and dedication that we have achieved the prestigious AA rating seven years in a row.”

He adds, “Quality should be a given but never taken for granted. The AA award clearly demonstrates Macpac’s ongoing commitment to raising the bar in quality standards across the thermoformed packaging industry, both in the UK and overseas. This includes ensuring our lightweight and easily recyclable pack designs are highly competitive within the EPR framework.”

“Most importantly, the AA rating provides further reassurance to our customers that their products will be safe and protected,” Graham concludes.

The BRCGS Packaging Materials Global Standard allows organizations to showcase their ability to deliver quality-assured, legally compliant, and authentic products. While commonly applied to food packaging, it also serves manufacturers across various applications within the supply chain.
