Lir Chocolates, a leading Irish chocolatier, is making strides in sustainability by launching fully recyclable paper twist wraps for its renowned Baileys Chocolate and Guinness Chocolate Truffle lines. This eco-friendly packaging, designed to enhance food and drink packaging sustainability, will be available from September at select retailers.
The newly designed wraps encompass the entire Baileys Chocolate range, which includes Original, Salted Caramel, Strawberries and Cream, Mint, and Birthday Cake varieties, alongside the Guinness Chocolate Truffles. By transitioning to recyclable paper twist wraps, Lir Chocolates will eliminate 13,000 kg of non-recyclable plastic from circulation every year. This initiative translates to approximately 66 million fewer plastic wrappers entering the market annually.
These fully recyclable twist wraps mark a significant advancement in reducing non-recyclable materials as Lir Chocolates enhances its food and drink sustainable packaging strategy. From classic flavors like Baileys and Guinness Original to contemporary varieties such as Birthday Cake and Mint, each truffle combines premium chocolate with the signature essence of these beloved brands. This collection continues to attract adult consumers in search of indulgent treats and premium seasonal gifting options.
