After a four-year hiatus, the beverage industry is making a comeback at BrauBeviale in Nuremberg. From November 28 to 30, KHS will showcase its extensive range of cutting-edge filling technology and resource-conserving packaging systems. At the forefront of KHS’ trade show booth is the modular Innofill Glass DRS ECO filling system, which has proven to be a successful solution in terms of consumption values and product quality. Additionally, Nature MultiPack (NMP) is setting new sustainability standards in the secondary packaging market. KHS is also introducing a universal adhesive for PET bottles, following its success in the beverage can segment. Complementing this portfolio are digital service products, including intelligent systems for remote diagnosis and maintenance, as well as virtual training courses.

The previous successful trade show in Nuremberg drew around 40,000 visitors from 138 different countries, making it an ideal platform for KHS to present its latest developments. Kai Acker, CEO of KHS GmbH, expresses excitement about returning to Nuremberg and showcasing the company’s profitable and sustainable systems and solutions to international trade visitors.

Pioneering Efficiency and Resource Conservation

An exemplary solution in KHS’ portfolio is the Innofill Glass DRS ECO. Since its launch in 2019, this modular glass filler has been installed worldwide with great success. Its innovative evacuation and CO2 purging process for glass bottles significantly reduces oxygen levels, resulting in up to 60% less CO2 consumption. This low-oxygen filling process elevates product quality and enhances the overall enjoyment of beer.

KHS is also committed to reducing packaging materials and promoting circular economy principles. With the introduction of a universal adhesive for plastic bottles, KHS offers an environmentally-friendly solution that enables PET containers of different shapes, sizes, and materials to be joined together using a single adhesive. This streamlined consumable reduces stress on the PET containers and enhances convenience for consumers during separation.

Digital Systems as Part of KHS’ Service Portfolio

In addition to its expertise in filling and packaging, KHS presents its digital service portfolio at the trade show. Through their Remote Diagnostic Service (ReDiS), KHS offers a highly efficient method of remote maintenance, allowing for system analysis, troubleshooting, and software updates. Another digital service, the Augmented Reality Service (ARS), facilitates troubleshooting by providing real-time support through smart glasses worn by users.

KHS has also integrated digital transformation into its training services. Alongside on-site and traditional training centers, KHS now offers a virtual training center to provide customers with modern and flexible learning opportunities. The KHS campus brand provides a comprehensive blended learning package that covers vocational training, further education, and human resource development.

“As the range of digital systems and solutions continues to expand, we are committed to expanding our services to ensure customers can maximize the benefits of our future-proof technologies in their day-to-day production, operating them reliably and efficiently,” states Acker.
