Frost Prešov is a leading supplier of fresh and frozen baked goods in the central European market. Their diverse product range includes popular croissants filled with options like chocolate, apricot, or marmalade, all individually packed in 60g pillow packs.
Seeking a reliable quality control solution for their products, Frost turned to Ishida for assistance. Ishida provided three IX-EN-2943-S X-ray inspection systems, operating on three lines to inspect around 18,000 packs of croissants per hour in a continuous 24/7 operation.
To handle such high volumes, the X-ray systems feature a high-capacity belt system capable of speeds up to 75 meters per minute. These models conduct essential quality control checks, detecting foreign bodies like metal or rubber, as well as identifying croissants with missing or defective fillings to maintain product quality and consistency.
Vladimir Varga, technical manager at Frost, praised the user-friendly and easy-to-clean Ishida X-ray systems, which simplify staff training and production planning without the need for adjusting settings when changing fillings.
Karel Šmakal, regional sales manager at Ishida, highlighted their longstanding partnership with Frost as a testament to their customer-centric approach in finding the best solutions for technical challenges.
Their collaboration exemplifies Ishida’s commitment to being a partner rather than just a supplier. By working together to address specific needs, they ensure the highest standards of quality and service in the food and drink industry, including sustainability, packaging, marketing, and consumer trends.
