Hoffer Plastics has unveiled the expanded Lok family of closures, set to showcase at PACK EXPO Las Vegas (Sept. 29–Oct. 1) in Booth N-5138. This latest development, rooted in customer-driven engineering, provides brands with increased versatility, speed, and value across both flexible and rigid formats. Furthermore, these innovations enhance product performance, reliability, and shelf appeal.

Product Highlights

• Hoffer’s Trust-T-Lok™ Drop-In Cap & Spout seamlessly operates on existing pouch filling equipment without requiring modifications. This solution reduces plastic usage by 18.5%, while patented tamper-evident technologies enhance product integrity and foster consumer trust. Available with FDA-compliant PCR content upon request, these closures are fully compatible with mono-PE and mono-PP structures, offering a recycle-ready option.

• The new Trust-T-Lok™ P22 Spouts facilitate the transition from bulky rigid bottles to sleek, efficient pouches. This shift results in significant material cost savings, reduced energy consumption, and lower CO₂ emissions, with up to 26 truckloads consolidated into one. Additionally, a larger printable surface area allows for bolder branding on store shelves. The spout comes in tamper-evident, child-resistant, and spray-hose variants, all designed for universal use on pouch-making equipment.

• The 38 mm and 28 mm Rigid Caps offer expanded options, ensuring uncompromising tamper evidence, accelerated lead times, and compatibility with glass, PET, and HDPE. These caps are particularly well-suited for fresh juices, dairy, kombucha, and energy drinks. The 38 mm format is available in three distinct options—Hoffer Drop Lok, Standard Double Lead, and DBJ neck finishes—specifically tailored to niche premium beverage sizes commonly found at Whole Foods and Fresh Market.

“Every addition to the Lok line was designed with our customers’ biggest challenges in mind – reducing costs, improving performance and sustainability, and making their brands more visible on shelf,” said John Strubulis, Senior Product Manager at Hoffer Plastics. “Our commitment at Hoffer extends far beyond supplying closures. Our commitment is to engineer solutions with real business impact.”
