Founded in December 2025 by co-founders and master distillers Soraya Spiers and John Vrilakas, FORA was established to highlight Andorra’s distinctive character. Its flagship offering, FORA Terroir, represents the nation’s landscape and cultural heritage, featuring a blend of wild botanicals hand-foraged from the area.

The brand has already garnered international recognition, with FORA Terroir winning Best Branding at The Gin Guide Awards alongside a Gold Medal at the World Gin Awards. Additionally, it was named a Top Five Global Finalist at the World Gin Awards, while FORA Clàssic received a Gold Medal and Negroni earned Silver at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).

From the beginning, FORA collaborated with The Label Makers to design labels that reflect the brand’s premium quality and tell its story effectively. Following thorough research into potential suppliers, FORA chose The Label Makers for their superior print quality, technical expertise, and collaborative approach.

Currently, The Label Makers produces labels for the entire FORA range, comprising Terroir, Clàssic, and Negroni. A significant challenge was to achieve a premium aesthetic while remaining aligned with FORA’s sustainability commitments. As a distillery located within the Ordino UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, FORA received the UNESCO Seal for its dedication to sustainable production and operations. Thus, maintaining a fully non-toxic and plastic-free approach was paramount.

Within these constraints, The Label Makers crafted a solution that provided luxury branding without compromising environmental principles. Utilizing premium uncoated white paper stock, the team integrated copper foiling and tactile screen embellishments, resulting in a label that is both visually stunning and tactile. The raised details evoke Andorra’s breathtaking landscapes and highlight the product’s artisanal nature.

Soraya Spiers, co-founder and co-master distiller at FORA, remarked: “We originally wanted to screen print the bottles, but budget constraints meant we needed to explore other options. In hindsight, that proved to be a blessing. The finished labels are beyond what we imagined and have helped us establish FORA as a premium brand from day one.”

She continued, “Creating a luxury product while staying true to our sustainability commitments was incredibly important to us, and The Label Makers embraced that challenge from the start. The tactile detailing, copper foiling, and quality of the finish perfectly capture the beauty of Andorra and the story behind our products.”

Furthermore, Spiers expressed appreciation for the collaboration, stating: “The Label Makers’ Malcolm Rushforth was a dream to work with throughout the project, guiding us through every stage of the process, while Polly Playford’s design work brought our vision to life. The labels are everything we hoped they would be and have played a huge role in the success of the brand.”

Ben Robinson, sales director at The Label Makers, concluded: “FORA had a clear vision for how it wanted to showcase Andorra’s character through its packaging while remaining committed to sustainable principles. By combining premium materials, copper foiling, and tactile embellishments, we created a label that delivers strong shelf appeal and reflects both the quality of the product inside and the values behind the brand.”
