Food and drink packaging plays a crucial role in the hospitality industry. IFE Manufacturing, part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week, will showcase more than 20 innovative packaging brands at ExCeL London on 25-27 March. The event will feature a seminar programme highlighting the latest innovations in food development.
A sustainable packaging option on display will be Magnum Packaging’s rectangular kraft deli containers, designed for hospitality buyers looking to meet compostable, biodegradable, and recyclable guidelines. Manufactured from sustainable PE lined kraft board, these containers come in four sizes with various lid options.
Magnum Packaging’s Director of Purchasing, Hassan Younis, emphasizes their commitment to sustainability, aiming to be carbon neutral by 2025.
Another highlight at IFE Manufacturing will be MM Packaging’s Alaska Barrier Grease, a sustainable alternative to PE coating ideal for fast food and bakery packaging products. Additionally, MM Packaging will showcase their GreenPeel Tray, a sustainable solution that reduces plastic usage by up to 90%.
On the innovation front, international glass bottle manufacturer Croxons will introduce their new 700ml, 450g right-weighted SOLO bottle at the event. This innovative design combines efficiency and practicality in a lightweight package.
At the Trends & Innovation Platform, industry experts from WRAP, TerraCycle Europe, GoUnpackaged, and Abel & Cole will discuss bringing reuse to the masses. Kantar’s Natalie Babbage will explore trends shaping eco-conscious consumers’ expectations of brands and government policies for 2024 and beyond.
