Euromilk, a prominent dairy company in Slovakia, has enhanced its longstanding collaboration with SIG by integrating a new SIG Slimline 12 Aseptic filling machine. This strategic decision aims to boost production capabilities, improve flexibility, and fortify its stance within the domestic market.

The newly installed system enables Euromilk to fill as many as 12,000 carton packs each hour in three varying sizes: 500ml, 750ml, and 1,000ml, all on one machine. Transitioning between these sizes takes under 15 minutes, accomplished by changing sleeves, adjusting volumes, and modifying settings on the HMI. This advanced technology leverages SIG’s sleeve-based filling and ultrasonic sealing platform, allowing for quick format adjustments without sacrificing operational speed.

Euromilk asserts that this investment caters to the growing consumer demand for its range of white and flavored milks, cream, and plant-derived drinks. It also equips the company with the necessary flexibility to launch new offerings, including oat milk and Barista milk, reflecting shifting consumer preferences in the market.

The focus on sustainability played a crucial role in this decision. The Slimline 12 Aseptic can accommodate both standard materials and SIG’s latest eco-friendly packaging solutions, including SIG Terra Alu-free and SIG Terra forest-based polymers. Euromilk is already leveraging these materials, which decrease reliance on aluminum while utilizing polymers derived from renewable forest resources, certified through an ISCC PLUS mass-balance system.

Tibor Balogh, managing director of Euromilk, remarked that the collaboration with SIG has enabled the company to double its production capacity over the past quarter-century. He emphasized that the new machine will help maintain Euromilk’s dedication to traditional recipes, superior product quality, and sustainability while catering to consumer demands.

SIG highlighted that this installation exemplifies the synergy between efficiency and sustainability. Sarka Kaplanova, managing director and head of sales for the Czech Republic and Slovakia at SIG, noted that the versatility of the Slimline 12 Aseptic provides Euromilk with “exactly what is needed to set the pace in the Eastern European food and beverage market.”
