Carton Pack, a notable portfolio company of A&M Capital Europe (‘AMCE’), is a private equity firm based in London.

Established in 1981, Clifton has built a solid reputation by serving a diverse array of blue-chip brands, particularly excelling in the wet protein and snack categories, which are crucial in the food and drink industry.

Under the stewardship of its management team, Clifton will continue to operate effectively, now led by new chief executive Shane D’Souza, who has served as chief operating officer since 2020.

This strategic acquisition significantly bolsters Carton Pack’s presence in flexible packaging across the UK market, enhancing their commitment to sustainable packaging solutions.

Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Puglia, Italy, Carton Pack specializes in multi-material packaging solutions tailored for Europe’s food markets, boasting a robust presence in the fruit and vegetable sectors, which increasingly align with food and drink sustainability trends.

The company’s diverse portfolio encompasses rigid and flexible plastics, corrugated and solid carton products, and molded pulp, demonstrating its adaptability to evolving consumer demands in food and drink packaging.

With operations spanning seven production facilities and 15 warehouses across Italy, Spain, and the UK, Carton Pack employs a workforce of 700 dedicated professionals. This deal strategically positions Carton Pack to deliver both plastic and paper sustainable packaging services more comprehensively to the food industry, aligning with the latest food and drink marketing trends.
