BioPak has announced an exciting new collaboration with the verified restoration platform, veritree, pledging to finance the planting of nearly 60,000 confirmed trees over the next 18 months in support of ecological restoration projects in British Columbia, Canada, and Tanzania.
Utilizing veritree’s advanced technology, each planting event is meticulously monitored and validated with real-time data from the field. This capability allows BioPak to assess the outcomes related to biodiversity, water systems, land recovery, local economies, and carbon sequestration.
This initiative represents a significant step forward in BioPak’s commitment to tree planting, offering complete transparency regarding the locations of the tree plantings as well as the environmental and community benefits achieved. This effort is part of BioPak’s comprehensive sustainability strategy, with 95% of its offerings made from renewable resources and 74% of its paper and wood products carrying FSC® certification.

In conjunction with this partnership, BioPak has introduced the Impact Hub, a public dashboard providing real-time updates on its restoration initiatives. This platform enables customers, partners, and stakeholders to track tree planting progress, investigate project sites, and evaluate metrics such as the area restored, tree species, and estimates for carbon sequestration.
The collaboration with veritree is a continuation of BioPak’s commitment to environmental restoration, with a total of 210,630 trees planted through partnerships with Rainforest Rescue and other environmental organizations since 2010, including Greenfleet and Ecologi.

As noted by the United Nations, forests account for approximately 31% of the Earth’s land area, yet nearly 100 million hectares have been lost since 1990. BioPak’s recent commitment is part of the global endeavor to restore degraded landscapes and enhance ecosystem resilience.
This announcement further supports BioPak’s Give Back Fund program, which has been instrumental in supporting tree planting and environmental restoration efforts for over 15 years.
