BioPak appoints Saxon Wright as Chief Sustainability Officer Food and Beverage Business

BioPak, a leader in sustainable foodservice packaging, today announced the appointment of Saxon Wright as Chief Sustainability Officer

In the newly created role, Wright will lead the company’s sustainability strategy at a pivotal moment for the industry, strengthening BioPak’s commitment to evidence-based innovation, customer collaboration, and meaningful environmental impact.

BioPak CEO Guy Brent said Wright’s appointment reflects the company’s ambition to accelerate its role as the best long-term partner in sustainable packaging, strengthening its ability to help businesses make the shift to more sustainable solutions that deliver on both environmental impact and commercial outcomes.

“Sustainability has always been at the heart of BioPak, and Saxon’s appointment is a natural progression of that commitment,” said Brent.

“Having founded Huskee and built a business centered around reuse, innovation and more sustainable consumption, Saxon has already played an important role in advancing the conversation around better solutions. Since Huskee joined the BioPak family in 2024, we have seen the opportunity to bring together our shared values and expertise, and Saxon’s leadership will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen the BioPak Group’s impact and shape the future of sustainable packaging in partnership with our customers.”

Wright described the role as one of stewardship, building on BioPak’s sustainability legacy through intentional, process-driven work.

“BioPak has built a strong reputation by challenging the status quo and finding more sustainable alternatives and solutions to traditional packaging,” said Wright. “Our responsibility now is to continue building on that 20-year legacy with discipline, transparency and accountability – ensuring our sustainability commitments translate into real outcomes.”

A central focus of Wright’s strategy will be working alongside customers to develop sustainability solutions that reflect their unique needs and challenges. With changing consumer expectations, continuously evolving regulation and growing demand for more responsible packaging solutions, Wright believes collaboration will be critical to driving industry wide change.

“Sustainability isn’t one-size-fits-all,” Wright said. “The most effective solutions start by understanding our customers’ sustainability philosophy or approach and working together to create practical pathways that deliver meaningful impact and create compelling sustainability stories.”

The new CSO role will also reflect a growth philosophy where commercial success and environmental progress go hand-in-hand. By scaling responsibly, BioPak aims to expand access to sustainable packaging solutions and increase its contribution to positive industry change.

“Growth gives us the opportunity to create greater impact,” Wright said. “The more businesses we can support, and the more customers we can help transition to better solutions, the greater the change we can drive.”

Looking ahead, Wright will also focus on further integrating Huskee and BioPak’s broader portfolio, which includes decentpackaging and Bygreen, strengthening collaboration across the business and leveraging growing market demand for sustainability led products.

The new appointment champions BioPak’s ongoing commitment to leading the foodservice packaging sector toward a more sustainable future, with products that are certified at the highest levels, in line with changing government legislation, while delivering the best-in-class product performance that BioPak is known for BioPak: https://www.biopak.com/
