Avery Dennison Corporation (NYSE: AVY) is thrilled to unveil a suite of product innovations at Labelexpo 2025, booth 3E61, starting September 16 in Barcelona. As leaders in food and drink packaging, our focus on sustainability, circularity, and connectivity has driven us to create solutions that enhance packaging recycling and reuse, improve shelf appeal, and increase transparency in the supply chain.

AD CleanGlass™ and AD CleanFiber™: Enhancing Recycling Solutions

During the event, Avery Dennison will feature its expanded AD CleanGlass™ wash-off portfolio, introducing a new white film option. This addition addresses the rising demand for reusable glass packaging, supporting brand sustainability targets. Both the white and established clear films facilitate uncomplicated label removal from glass bottles in conventional bottle washers at 80 degrees Celsius, maximizing environmental benefits in food and drink sustainable packaging.

Avery Dennison will also introduce AD CleanFiber™, the pioneering range of INGEDE12-certified paper label solutions that employ innovative adhesive technology. This technology ensures that labels cleanly detach from pulp during recycling, resulting in higher-quality outputs for new cardboard and paper production.

Innovations in Premium Design and Material Composition

Labelexpo will be the launchpad for the Infinity Collection, Avery Dennison’s latest premium label portfolio. This collection provides converters and designers with enhanced creative flexibility, allowing for intricate die-cutting and sophisticated finishes while ensuring reliable performance.

Additionally, the company will showcase exciting new materials in the Sensorial Collection, including Leatherlike Black, Limestone, and rWood Skin, along with an expanded Sustainable Collection that emphasizes alternative fibers to paper pulp. The newly introduced Lin Fiber complements existing options such as Hemp Fiber and Cane Fiber, aligning with the growing trend toward food and drink sustainable packaging.

Enhancing Safety and Connectivity in Automotive and Pharma

Avery Dennison will present the first PET labels with chemically recycled content, specifically designed for the durable goods market. These labels meet the stringent standards set by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) while furthering sustainability objectives. Optional features, like flame retardancy, can be incorporated to satisfy compliance requirements for electric vehicle (EV) batteries. Moreover, these labels will be paired with radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, showcasing how traceability and connectivity can improve automotive applications and EV battery management.

In addition, Avery Dennison will introduce new UV Barrier solutions—clear film pharmaceutical labels that provide a functional barrier while protecting valuable medicines from harmful UV light degradation. Unlike traditional opaque labels, this new range enhances visibility, allowing healthcare professionals to conduct visual checks easily while safeguarding UV-sensitive medicines from deterioration.

Leading the Labeling and Packaging Industry for Nearly a Century

Mariana Rodriguez, the new Vice President and General Manager of the Materials Group EMENA, stated: “Labelexpo 2025 will be a showcase of innovation, and we eagerly anticipate sharing this with our customers. Avery Dennison has been a powerhouse in the labeling and packaging sector for 90 years, and our participation in Barcelona will illustrate how we are tackling essential challenges across various sectors, including consumer packaged goods, retail, automotive, and pharmaceuticals. This milestone aligns with our vision of Making Possible™, and we invite visitors to join us at our booth.”
