AM Labels is excited to announce the addition of the new Afinia DLP-2200 full colour digital label press to its portfolio. This innovative solution caters to companies with medium to high volume, roll-to-roll labelling requirements in the food packaging industry.
The DLP-2200 by Afinia boasts remarkable speed, reaching up to 60 feet per minute. This cost-effective label press not only prints and die cuts labels, but also offers additional finishing capabilities such as laminating, cutting, stripping, slitting, and rewinding.
Featuring a large roll capacity accommodating rolls with a maximum outside diameter of 400 mm, the press includes an automatic web guide that ensures precise media alignment without the need for physical collars. With its 18-inch magnetic cylinder and low-cost flexible steel dies, the DLP-2200 can accommodate label sizes with a maximum length of up to 360 mm.
Thanks to its servo-controlled motors, the DLP-2200 ensures increased reliability and faster production speeds. The press enables accurate pinpoint cutting at high speeds, reducing label stock and improving efficiency by minimizing roll changeovers.
Designed for print companies with medium to large volume requirements, as well as businesses in the chemical and food industries, the DLP-2200 offers a user-friendly experience through its intuitive interface and built-in touch screen. Operators can easily manage job setups and maintenance.
The digital label press incorporates a built-in lamination system, providing labels with protection against chemicals and UV. This enhances durability, scratch resistance, and scuff resistance while extending the life of the labels. The DLP-2200’s simple paper path ensures quick and easy job setups.
When paired with the Afinia L901 colour label printer inline, the DLP-2200 can produce over 25,000 full-colour labels per hour. This eliminates the need to outsource labels, saves businesses money, improves turnaround times, and provides greater control and flexibility over labelling operations.
The L901 combines a 1600 dpi resolution, fast print speeds, and the latest Memjet printhead technology. Additionally, the DLP-2200 can also be used to convert blank labels.
