Wrexham Lager has recently expanded its presence in North America by partnering with British Columbia Liquor Store and the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, two of the largest alcohol retailers on the continent.

In British Columbia, consumers can now find Wrexham Lager in 92 different British Columbia Liquor Store locations, along with several licensed retail outlets throughout the province.

The British Columbia Liquor Store shops are offering Wrexham Lager in a convenient 6x 330ml can multipack format. Additionally, both 330ml and 500ml cans are available in various licensed retail stores.

Meanwhile, the partnership with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario allows consumers in Ontario to purchase Wrexham Lager in a single 500ml can format across the province.

This expansion into Canada is a significant milestone for the Welsh beer brand, which has launched into markets including the US, Australia, Scandinavia, Northern Ireland, and Hungary over the past 12 months.

“Expanding into Canada is a proud moment for the brand,” commented Jon Roberts, interim CEO of The Wrexham Lager Beer Co.

“With our products now available in Ontario and British Columbia, Canadian customers now get to experience a taste of our premium lager. It’s another milestone for the team, and our global success demonstrates the appetite for genuine and authentic lager.”

In October of last year, Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney became co-owners of Wrexham Lager after purchasing a stake in the brewery.

The duo, who also hold majority ownership of football club Wrexham AFC, acquired the brewery through Red Dragon Ventures, a joint venture between their R.R. McReynolds company and minority investors, the Allyn family of Skaneateles, New York.

Meanwhile, the Roberts family, who have owned and operated the brewery since 2011, continue to play an active role within the business.
