Located at the Tuborg brewery in İzmir, Türkiye, this newly installed system is already showcasing promising environmental and operational advantages in its initial phases of operation.
This initiative directly tackles the industry’s challenge of reducing its reliance on fossil fuels for heating by capturing and repurposing low-grade process heat that would typically be discarded.

The introduction of GEA’s industrial heat pump has brought about immediate improvements to the brewery’s energy dynamics:
- A 7.4 percent decrease in CO₂ emissions: During the early operation of the system, Türk Tuborg has managed to achieve a 7.4 percent reduction in carbon emissions.
