With nearly 15 years of experience in the tech industry, Baveja has excelled in senior roles at notable companies including Just Eat Takeaway.com, Viagogo, and most recently, Checkatrade.com. His extensive background has provided him with the skills to drive business growth and innovation.

Throughout his career, Baveja has played an instrumental role in expanding international operations across 25 markets, including key regions such as the US, Japan, and Brazil. This expertise in scaling global technology platforms is precisely what Too Good To Go aims to leverage for its future developments.

Future Growth

Upon his appointment, Baveja expressed enthusiasm, stating: “I am thrilled to be joining Too Good To Go, and look forward to helping the business grow in such exciting markets.

“It’s certainly been an exciting few months, with the launch of Too Good To Go Parcels in the UK, helping brands like Tony’s Chocolonely and Kraft Heinz avoid food waste while offering unique products to our users.”

“Additionally, our Look-Smell-Taste initiative in Ireland has garnered support from iconic brands such as Guinness Food Products and Kellogg’s. I’m thrilled about what we’ve accomplished so far and look forward to more success ahead.”

Reducing Food Waste

In November last year, Too Good To Go launched a new service aimed at UK FMCG brands and manufacturers focusing on food waste reduction and maximizing profits.

Food manufacturers can now sell surplus commodities through a newly established retail channel that alleviates the logistical challenges associated with excess food management.

Now operating from Too Good To Go’s new Shoreditch office in London, Baveja’s leadership will be crucial as the company continues to reinforce its dedication to combating food waste.

In parallel, the UK Government has announced a new funding initiative designed to assist charities in collecting food waste from farms. This scheme, which follows a pledge from former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, will allocate grants starting at £20k to the not-for-profit food redistribution sector in England.
