The newly developed Innokeg X combines both washing and filling functions on a single station, thereby reducing time, space, and wear on fittings, filling valves, and tap valves on the containers. The machine is equipped with smart technology, such as IO-Link that enables sensors and actuators to measure pressure or level probes. The washing and filling module also features a hygienic design that employs slightly sloped surfaces for easy runoff of liquids. The media valves are readily accessible, and the tank has an easy-clean cylindrical shape with no corners or edges.
Roger Daum, Keg Product Manager, highlights that the Innokeg X offers several highlights regarding its footprint and efficiency compared to larger or specialised modules. The Innokeg X takes up just 1.8 square metres of space in production, which is 33% less than semi-automatic systems with separate washing and filling stations. The new machine offers operators more convenience, with all valves being accessible, a lowered table height making kegs easier to lift and position, and an operator panel at exact eye level.
Moreover, the Innokeg X is flexible and can be expanded by up to four modules, all of which can be managed by just one operator. KHS also offers customisable media preparation packages, a keg slide for easy sliding of the full kegs weighing over 60 kilos onto the pallet, and a preparation platform for the next kegs. The marketing campaign for the Innokeg X focuses on markets requiring small batches, and customers can purchase the system online. The delivery time is approximately four weeks, making it an accessible, plug-and-produce system that can be used immediately on delivery with little to no effort required for installation.
