Provisur Technologies unveiled an impressive high-speed press-to-slice line at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, Germany, aligning with their motto of ‘Pushing Boundaries’. This next-generation module showcased the Hoegger X3 Press, a Press-to-Slice module, and the new Formax SX550 Slicer, which garnered attention for its enhanced performance. The Formax SX330 Slicer also stood out for its versatility and improved yields.
At the core of the Hoegger X3 Press is servo hydraulic-controlled technology that ensures fast and precise pressing, particularly ideal for bacon production. This technology enables accurate pressing of natural shapes and reduces belly deformations, resulting in better-shaped products and improved slicing yields.
Provisur’s press-to-slice module features a 3D scanner and scales for high-precision evaluation of product weight, shape, and density. This data is transmitted to the slicer, enabling precise portion weights, consistent slice thickness, and exact slice counts. The continuous feedback loop between the slicer and press-to-slice module allows for quick adjustments to maximize yield and minimize waste.
The new Formax SX550 Slicer is a high-capacity system that seamlessly integrates with the press-to-slice module, offering improved portion control and high-speed production of bacon, cold cuts, cheese, and more. On the other hand, the smaller Formax SX330 Slicer delivers high throughput within a compact footprint and can handle multiple SKUs per day with its cutting-edge technology.
Gerd Stratenwerth, Provisur’s sales manager EAPMEA, emphasizes the company’s ability to cater to the demand for flexible or high-performance line configurations with their integrated press-to-slice line and Formax slicers. This comprehensive approach to food manufacturing not only boosts efficiency and yield but also significantly reduces food waste.
Utilizing versatile loading and unloading modules, the press-to-slice line is designed for Industry 4.0 requirements, facilitating smooth data exchange and enhancing overall sustainability. Energy-saving modes and highly efficient servo units reduce energy consumption, furthering the line’s environmental impact.
“The seamlessly coordinated modules increase yield and profitability, while also reducing food waste. At Provisur, saving food and improving yield go hand in hand,” adds Gerd Stratenwerth. This commitment to innovation and sustainability underscores Provisur’s position as a leader in the food manufacturing industry.
