Iceland Foods is recalling packs of ‘Iceland Vegetable Lasagne’ (400g) with best before dates of 23 July 2026 and 30 July 2026. This measure has been classified as necessary due to the potential presence of plastic, rendering the product unsafe for consumption.

To ensure consumer safety, Iceland has proactively distributed recall notices to all stores selling the affected batches, clearly outlining the reasons for this recall. This initiative aims to keep customers informed and emphasizes the importance of food safety.

Customers who may have purchased these lasagne products are strongly advised to return them to any Iceland store for a full refund. Importantly, no receipt is required for the return.

“Only the best before date codes listed are affected,” stated Iceland.

“Check if you have bought any of the affected product. You can do this by taking a photo of this notice or writing down the details at home.”

“Please return to any Iceland store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.”

In a related update, Goodies Food Mediterranean is recalling various Al Burj branded Halva products due to inadequate labeling regarding sesame ingredients. This oversight poses a potential health risk for individuals with sesame allergies.

The recall pertains specifically to three Halva flavors: plain, pistachio, and extra pistachio, which are available in 350g, 700g, and 1800g tubs.

Goodies Food Mediterranean has contacted relevant allergy support organizations to alert their members regarding this recall. Additionally, the company has issued point-of-sale notices to all retailers stocking the affected batches.

Customers with a sesame allergy who have purchased any of the listed products are advised not to consume them and to return the items to the point of purchase for a full refund.
