Nestlé has announced the expansion of its breakfast offerings with the introduction of Nesquik Strawberry Flavour cereal across the UK and Ireland, starting this April. This new product follows the long-term success of the beloved Strawberry milk drink, aiming to provide families with additional morning options.

The Nesquik Strawberry Flavour Cereal showcases the brand’s iconic pink color and transforms the milk in the bowl into a vibrant pink, reminiscent of a classic milkshake experience. The choice to introduce a strawberry variant alongside the longstanding chocolate option is designed to offer consumers a wider array of flavorful choices without compromising on nutrition.

“We’re excited to bring this beloved Nesquik flavor to cereal for the first time, building on over 60 years of Nesquik Strawberry heritage in the UK,” stated Sarah Fordy, head of marketing for Nestlé Cereals UK. “For families, it offers a new breakfast alternative made with whole grains, rich in fiber, and infused with seven vitamins plus iron, all while adding a fun twist that turns your milk pink. Our goal has been to provide even greater variety at breakfast while remaining true to the playful essence of the Nesquik brand.”

Nestlé positions this cereal as a fun yet responsible option for parents. Similar to the original chocolate variety, the Strawberry Flavour Cereal meets the non-HFSS criteria under the UK’s nutritional profiling system. The company emphasizes the nutritional attributes of the product as a pivotal factor for its entry into the competitive breakfast segment. Key features of the new cereal include:

– Composed primarily of whole grains.
– A source of Vitamin B6, Magnesium, and Iron.
– Free from artificial colors and flavors.

Moreover, the launch aligns with Nestlé’s wider environmental initiatives, as the packaging is fully recyclable, supporting the company’s target to make all packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.

The rollout begins this week in leading retailers across the UK and Ireland, including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, and Ocado. By capitalizing on the strong brand recognition of the Nesquik bunny and the nostalgia linked to the strawberry flavor, Nestlé aims to stimulate growth in the cereal segment. As Fordy emphasized, the initiative is about “bringing a little bit of Nesquik magic to breakfast time,” making one of the brand’s most popular flavors available in a crunchy, whole-grain cereal format.
