Independent Korean food brand Miss Kim is bringing its authentic snacks and pantry essentials to UK consumers through a new listing in selected London Whole Foods Market stores.

Established in January 2026 by former art curator Heejin No, Miss Kim aims to broaden perceptions of Korean cuisine by highlighting the country’s diverse food culture beyond its best-known dishes. The brand combines traditional culinary influences with convenient products suited to everyday British meals and snacking occasions.

The Whole Foods Market launch features a selection created to connect Korean flavours with contemporary kitchen cupboards. The range includes:

Sea Salt Nurungji (£3.99), produced from thin sheets of toasted rice that deliver a crisp, nutty texture. The snack is finished with mineral-rich sea salt sourced from South Korea’s Sinan Coast.

Lotus Root Bugak (£3.99), a light, fibre-rich vegetable crisp that can be enjoyed on its own, served as banchan, or used to add texture to everyday dishes.

Signature Tinned Kimchi (£5.90), available in two varieties. Vegan Kimchi is naturally fermented and seasoned with a lively gochugaru heat, while Stir-Fried Kimchi is slowly cooked to create a rich, savoury and caramelised flavour. Both varieties can be eaten directly from the tin or added to rice, noodles and toasted sandwiches.

Every product included in the launch is vegan and gluten-free. Sea Salt Nurungji and Lotus Root Bugak have both been recognised by the Free From Food Awards. Miss Kim has also received the Creativity & Branding award at the BBC Good Food SME Awards.

The launch reflects wider food and beverage industry trends, including rising interest in food and drink consumer trends, food and drink industry innovation and convenient products with clear provenance. It also demonstrates how developments in food and drink packaging can support premium, shelf-stable formats, while evolving food and beverage industry trends continue to influence food and drink marketing and retail selection.

“Whole Foods Market is exactly the kind of retailer we wanted to work with because there is such a strong focus on quality, interesting food and discovering something new,” said Heejin No, founder of Miss Kim. “We’re excited to introduce more people to Korean snacking and pantry staples and hopefully show just how varied Korean food can be.”

The Whole Foods Market agreement supports Miss Kim’s wider expansion through premium grocery retailers and independent stockists across the UK. Products are available now at selected Whole Foods Market locations and online via misskim.co.uk.
