pladis, the international snacking powerhouse responsible for some of the UK’s most cherished and recognized brands, is broadening its popular McVitie’s Jaffa range with the introduction of McVitie’s Jaffa Cookies. This innovative product offers a fresh interpretation of the iconic treat that has sparked debate for years. Is it classified as a cake? Or perhaps a biscuit? This time, it’s a cookie.

Drawing inspiration from the beloved Jaffa Cakes, Jaffa Cookies feature a half-coated, soft-baked chocolate chip cookie boasting a zesty orange filling. The outcome? A cookie that distinctly represents the essence of Jaffa and stands as the newest creation from McVitie’s, designed to surprise and delight biscuit enthusiasts.

“Everyone enjoys a Jaffa Cake, and everyone enjoys a cookie, so Jaffa Cookies combine the best aspects of both,” explains Russell Smith, the marketing manager at pladis UK&I. “It captures the iconic Jaffa flavor that fans adore, enveloped in a soft-baked cookie ideal for those occasions when only a cookie will suffice. Plus, this one is perfect for dunking!”

Jaffa Cookies, priced at an RRP of £2.50, are currently available in Asda Express stores and will be rolled out in Asda locations nationwide starting 25 June, with availability in all major grocery retailers commencing the week of 20 July.
