Maryland has debuted its inaugural partnership with Terry’s Chocolate Orange, introducing the Maryland S’wich Terry’s Chocolate Orange — a fusion of two beloved British brands aimed at revitalizing the biscuit section and enticing chocolate shoppers.

The Maryland S’wich Terry’s Chocolate Orange represents the first instance of Terry’s distinctive orange oil flavor being incorporated into sweet biscuits. This collaboration combines the UK’s leading small cookie brand with its premier orange chocolate brand, reaching a total of 15 million potential customers throughout the country.

This launch presents retailers with a compelling chance to attract devoted fans of Terry’s confectionery to the biscuit category while providing current Maryland consumers with an exciting new product.

Initially available exclusively for four weeks at Tesco Group/Booker, this new S’wich features authentic Terry’s orange oil nestled within Maryland’s crispy, crumbly chocolate-chip cookie, offering a unique chocolate-orange cookie experience. This marks the first flavor extension for the Maryland S’wich since its introduction in 2025, capitalizing on chocolate orange’s status as one of the top five favorite flavors for snacks, bolstered by impressive taste-test results indicating an 85% purchase intent.

According to Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC), this collaboration is aimed at fostering growth in the category by merging two established brands that resonate with consumers. Jo Harwood, the chief sales and trade marketing officer at FBC, emphasized that this partnership “S’wiches up the biscuit aisle,” thereby attracting both loyal fans and new customers, while also leveraging Terry’s strong seasonal appeal during Christmas.

My-Anh Bosquet, the marketing director for Terry’s Chocolate in the UK and Ireland, described the launch as a “genuine landmark” since it marks the first entry of Terry’s signature orange flavor into the biscuit market.

After the Tesco Group exclusive, the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Maryland S’wich will be available across major retailers and wholesalers starting August 12, with a price-marked format set at an MRSP of £1.39 for a 150g pack. This marks Maryland’s second significant collaboration of the year, following the release of its Harry Potter Butterbeer-flavored Cookies, as FBC works to enhance brand relevance and generate consumer excitement through strategic partnerships.
