Guinness is enhancing its food manufacturing capabilities by incorporating six new processing vessels into its state-of-the-art production facility. With a total capacity of almost 90 million pints, these additions will play a crucial role in the production of Guinness 0.0.

Manufactured in Burgstadt, Germany, the new units have been transported to Dublin Port for installation. Guinness 0.0, a non-alcoholic alternative, is meticulously brewed using a cutting-edge cold filtration system that efficiently extracts alcohol from previously brewed Guinness.

Notably, this expansion will boost production levels by nearly 300% following a substantial investment of €25 million in the development of a new facility at the illustrious St James’s Gate brewery in Dublin. This strategic move is aimed at addressing the escalating demand for the non-alcoholic beverage, both domestically and internationally.

It is worth mentioning that all global production of Guinness 0.0 is now centered at St James’s Gate, catering to key export markets such as the UK, Europe, US, Canada, Middle East, and South Korea.

Since its launch in 2021, Guinness 0.0 has witnessed remarkable growth in Ireland, with demand continuing to surge. As a testament to its success, Guinness predicts that this non-alcoholic alternative will account for an impressive 10% share in overall Guinness sales within Ireland in the near future.

Barry O’Sullivan, Managing Director of Diageo Ireland, the parent company, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Guinness 0.0 has emerged as the top-selling non-alcoholic beer in four-pack format in both Ireland and Britain.” He further emphasized the growth potential of the non-alcoholic category, as consumers increasingly seek diverse choices for different occasions. O’Sullivan added, “We anticipate Guinness 0.0 to become another remarkable export success story for Ireland.”
