Eurostar Commodities Creates Regenerative Flour for Sustainable Production and Distribution

Eurostar Commodities develops regenerative flour for production and distribution

Eurostar Commodities has unveiled its highly anticipated line of regenerative flours, RISE Re:Gen. This innovative product line sets a new standard for sustainability and quality in the food industry.

With RISE Re:Gen now available, it aims to change how the food industry perceives the sustainable production of British flour.

RISE Re:Gen is cultivated in partnership with The Green Farm Collective (GFC), a coalition of British farmers dedicated to regenerative principles. After meeting through the ‘Soil Farmer of the Year’ competition, GFC has championed regenerative agriculture. Their focus on reducing pesticides, increasing carbon capture, and enhancing biodiversity benefits not only their farms but the environment as well. Each farmer actively improves habitats and educates others about their importance through outreach activities, including farm visits and talks.

Central to RISE Re:Gen is a steadfast commitment to regenerative agriculture—a method that restores soil health, boosts biodiversity, and sequesters carbon. Unlike conventional flours, RISE’s regenerative offerings come from farms that prioritize environmental stewardship, ensuring that every bag contributes positively to the planet’s health.

Diane Crabtree, sales manager of RISE Re:Gen, underscores the significance of this launch for the UK food industry, stating, “With RISE Re:Gen, we’re not just offering a product; we’re offering a solution. Our flours are designed to meet the needs of environmentally conscious manufacturers who want to make a positive impact without compromising on taste or consistent performance to meet the needs of consumers.”

Angus Gowthorpe, a farmer and founding member of the GFC, explains why the team selected Eurostar Commodities as their distribution partner: “It was evident from early on that the firm understood the importance of regenerative farming practices to ensure the longevity of British farming.”

Gowthorpe adds, “They were keen to work exclusively with Green Farm Collective, as we are all British farmers who are passionate about nurturing and improving soil biodiversity and enhancing water and carbon retention. All of this helps the environment by reducing carbon output, mitigating flood and drought risks, and encouraging wildlife.” Eurostar has committed to a long-term partnership with GFC to expand sales channels for regenerative flour, believing that consumers and the industry will increasingly support regenerative practices in the UK for a sustainable future.

With over 30 years of expertise in advising and supplying quality flour to the UK’s food manufacturing, wholesale, and retail sectors, Eurostar possesses the knowledge and passion to integrate regenerative flour into various products for UK consumers’ dinner plates.

RISE Re:Gen is available in two variants, both packaged in fully recyclable multi-ply paper sacks:

  • Strong White Flour, 16kg – This high-quality flour, farmed to The Green Farm Collective standards, provides the necessary structure and flexibility for breads, pizzas, and other products requiring a robust base.
  • All-Purpose Flour, 16kg – Also farmed to The Green Farm Collective standards, this premium all-purpose flour is specially crafted for a variety of baking applications, meeting the sustainable principles that consumers increasingly demand.

RISE Re:Gen is sustainably sourced and grown using regenerative farming methods that promote soil vitality and combat climate change. Notably, it is of superior quality, designed to deliver exceptional results in baking and cooking, with options catering to diverse culinary needs.
