Cox & Co. Cacao, a brand celebrated for its unique flavor pairings and commitment to sustainable sourcing in the single-origin dark chocolate sector, has achieved its first permanent national presence with Waitrose.

Starting April 5, two of the brand’s standout bars—Miso & Caramel and Bee Pollen & Honey—will be available in 190 Waitrose locations. This development represents a significant achievement for the company, which until now has predominantly concentrated on e-commerce and seasonal offerings.

The expansion comes in response to a surge in consumer interest for Cox & Co.’s premium dark chocolate Easter eggs, leading Waitrose to enhance their collaboration into a year-round arrangement. These new listings will introduce two of the brand’s most sought-after flavor selections to the upscale confectionery section of the supermarket.

The Miso & Caramel bar features 47% cacao combined with white miso and natural caramel, creating a delightful sweet and salty profile. Meanwhile, the Bee Pollen & Honey bar blends 60% dark chocolate with honey and a hint of bee pollen for a deep, aromatic finish. Both products highlight the brand’s dedication to flavor innovation within the luxury dark chocolate market.

“We are excited to partner with Waitrose, who will be offering two of our most favored bars,” stated founder Gavin Cox. “Given the tremendous response to our luxury dark chocolate Easter eggs, it was logical to provide options that bridge the gap between festive occasions. Miso & Caramel and Bee Pollen & Honey are extremely well-received, and we believe customers will appreciate these distinctive flavors.”

Sustainability remains a core aspect of Cox & Co.’s identity. All packaging is designed to be fully plant-based, recyclable, or compostable at home, aligning with Waitrose’s efforts to minimize plastic use in both branded and private label products. The bars will be introduced in a paper flow-wrap format, emphasizing the retailer’s commitment to eco-friendly packaging.

Cox & Co. has a close partnership with Luker Chocolate in Colombia, focusing on improving farming communities and promoting sustainable cocoa production. “As a brand, we share aligned commitments and principles with Waitrose,” Cox remarked. “We take pride in being available in stores across the nation.”

Cox & Co. Cacao’s Miso & Caramel (70g) and Bee Pollen & Honey (70g) bars will launch in 190 Waitrose locations starting April 5, retailing at £3.50 each.
