Co-op unveils Christmas 2026 bakery range blending British classics with international inspiration

Co-op is preparing to bring a selection of nostalgic British flavours and global influences to its Christmas 2026 bakery range. The new products sit within the retailer’s premium Irresistible collection and reflect several food and beverage industry trends, including convenient entertaining options, premium indulgence and plant-based choices.

The savoury selection includes miniature beef Wellingtons, fish finger sandwiches and butternut squash pastries. For sweet treats, the range draws on familiar festive flavours such as ginger, maple, amaretto, chocolate and orange. The launch also demonstrates how food manufacturing trends and food processing technology continue to support more varied, convenient seasonal products.

“We know Christmas can be a busy time, so we’ve focused on making it easier for customers to enjoy delicious food without the fuss,” said Alexa Masterhorn, head of product development at Co-op. “We’re also proud that our range continues to champion British and responsible sourcing because it’s something that matters to our members, customers and the farmers we work with.”

The collection taps into evolving food and drink consumer trends while supporting Co-op’s focus on British sourcing and responsible production. It also reflects wider developments in food distribution trends, food and drink packaging, food and drink sustainability and food and drink marketing.
