Ant and Dec will play a pivotal role in product and content development at the frozen dough brand, following their recent agreement. However, details regarding the size of their stake in the business have not been disclosed.
Through their creative company, Mitre Studios, the duo will collaborate closely with the brand to produce original content for both social media and digital platforms. Mitre Studios boasts a successful history of delivering campaigns for notable companies like Disney, TUI, Santander, and Ring.
Launched in 2011 by founders Amy and Chris Cheadle, The Northern Dough Co is now featured in several major UK supermarket chains.
Looking ahead, the firm plans to introduce a diverse range of new products while actively seeking to develop “category-driving partnership opportunities” with retailers.
“I love making pizzas at home with my family and was already using Northern Dough Co when we started conversations with Amy and Chris about working with them,” Ant noted regarding the collaboration.
“As soon as we met, it was clear we had the same values. Together, we have some great ideas on how we can expand the business. It’s very exciting, and we can’t wait to get started in our role as co-owners!”
Dec added: “We love the Northern Dough Co ethos of celebrating the joy of eating at home and bringing people together. Whether it’s a pizza party with friends or a cozy Saturday night with your granny, everyone can get involved and create delicious pizzas. We are excited to celebrate all things dough through our partnership and social content.”
The Cheadles also expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership, hinting at future plans. “It’s not every day Ant & Dec’s team reaches out to explore a collaboration, but from our first meeting, it was clear how aligned our personal values were and how easily we could grow this business together,” they stated.
“As viewers, we’ve enjoyed Ant & Dec’s shows from Byker Grove in our teens to Takeaway and I’m a Celeb with our own children. This ethos of bringing people together for a feel-good experience is at the core of The Northern Dough Co.”
“Gathering to enjoy food is a favorite pastime, but cooking together to create a casual restaurant experience at home makes it truly special. We couldn’t be more excited that Ant & Dec have joined us to bring this experience to even more households, and we have thrilling plans for the coming months and years ahead.”
