Martin Glinski announced his departure in a LinkedIn update, expressing the need to “recharge and reset” due to “personal family challenges.” He leaves St Ewe, a Cornish-based producer of free-range eggs, on a high note, as the company enjoyed a noteworthy year, with sales nearly doubling, rising by 95.7% to reach £51.7 million, while volume sales surged by 59.1%.

Prior to his tenure at St Ewe, Glinski dedicated 15 years to the hospitality sector, serving as the head of commercial operations for the Rick Stein Group. His leadership at St Ewe has seen remarkable growth, with the company’s turnover recorded at just £11.6 million in 2023.

In 2025, St Ewe earned recognition as the 53rd fastest growing British business on The Sunday Times list of 100.

At this point, St Ewe has not publicly disclosed a succession plan. Glinski commented, “St Ewe is in a strong position, with real momentum, and now feels like the right time for new leadership to take the business forward into its next phase.” He added, “As much as I would love to remain part of the journey, it is important that the next leader has the space to establish themselves and shape the future in their own way.”

He expressed pride in their collective achievements, noting, “The scale and pace of growth over the last five years has been exceptional, and something few businesses are bold enough to pursue.” Furthermore, he emphasized, “That success has been built on more than performance alone. It has been built on people, on relationships, and on a shared belief that we can do business in a positive, transparent and nurturing way.”
