Pars Foods is set to enhance its production capabilities following significant new retail partnerships and strong growth across the retail sector. This strategic move aligns with current food manufacturing trends, reflecting increased demand for innovative food products.
Founded in 1998 by Brian Sarafilovic, the company’s new facility will complement its existing 15,500 sq ft bakery in Glasgow. This expansion is crucial to meet the growing needs of foodservice, hospitality, and retail clients, keeping in line with evolving food distribution trends.
Over the past year, Pars Foods has experienced a remarkable success story in Scotland, necessitating increased production capacity. The new factory will significantly enhance production efficiency, thus supporting the firm’s sustainability initiatives within the food and drink innovation landscape.
Moreover, the development of this facility is anticipated to create new job opportunities within the Scottish and UK bakery sectors, contributing to the workforce stability essential for meeting food and drink regulations.
“This new factory marks an important milestone in our growth. Demand for Pie Sports has exceeded all expectations, and this investment ensures we can continue to scale responsibly while maintaining the quality our customers expect,” stated founder Sarafilovic.
“We are proud to strengthen our operations here in Scotland and excited for the next chapter of our business.”
In the last year, the pie maker has secured listings with various grocery powerhouses, including Aldi, Lidl, and Scotmid Co-op, showcasing effective food and drink marketing strategies.
The brand’s flagship ‘Pie Sports’ product has gained substantial popularity in both retail and sports sectors. In addition to its prime retail listings, the company provides matchday products to numerous Scottish professional football clubs, including St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Falkirk, and St Johnstone.
Lesley Cameron, CEO of Scottish Bakers, remarked: “It is fantastic to see one of our members businesses going from strength to strength.”
“The opening of this new facility is a clear sign of confidence in Scotland’s bakery sector and will create valuable jobs in a highly skilled and much-loved industry.”
