This can involve gradual changes to recipes, such as removing allergens or reducing harmful nutrients like salt, saturates, and sugar. However, reformulation is not as simple as swapping out ingredients. It poses technical challenges for manufacturers and requires a deeper understanding of how to drive long-term behavioral change.
