In a recent development, the official carbon labelling partner of Just Eat, My Emissions, has successfully closed its over-subscribed £1.3m Seed Round. Led by Hambro Perks and supported by Love Ventures, the angel syndicate Raspberry Ventures, and industry angel investors, this investment marks a significant milestone for the company.

Founded in 2021 by Forbes 30 under 30 2024 Founders Matthew Isaacs and Nathan Bottomley, My Emissions aims to decarbonize the food sector, which is responsible for a third of global GHG emissions.

Based in London, My Emissions is a tech start-up that addresses the need for food companies to accurately measure emissions of individual products and report their annual scope 3 emissions efficiently. The platform integrates seamlessly with existing recipe management, inventory management, and POS systems, allowing food companies to focus on their reduction strategy.

My Emissions follows the GHG Protocol methodology and presented its approach to DEFRA’s food data transparency partnership in December 2023, contributing to setting the standard for emissions reporting and eco-labelling in the UK.

As the official carbon labelling partner of Just Eat, My Emissions has conducted carbon labelling trials on the Just Eat and Just Eat for Business platforms. The company is also set to announce new national and international partnerships in 2024, with current users including The FSC Group, AB World Foods, Selfridges, and the Good Eating Company.

Laura Noorani, Principal at Hambro Perks, expressed her enthusiasm for investing in My Emissions, highlighting the company’s solution-oriented approach in helping food companies reduce emissions on a large scale.

Aside from LOVE Ventures, the angel syndicate Raspberry Ventures, and various angel investors have also backed My Emissions.

With increasing pressure to cut emissions in the food industry, My Emissions provides a simple, affordable tool for food companies to make informed decisions in reducing their carbon footprint.
