Mondelez CEO Takes on Role as Chairman of AB InBev AB InBev, appointed, CEO, chairman, Mondelēz, Mondelez International Food and Beverage Business

Anheuser-Busch InBev has named Dirk Van de Put, the current CEO of the renowned snack brands Cadbury and Oreo under Mondelez International, as its new chairman.
This appointment took effect on June 16, replacing Martin Barrington, who has retired from his role on the company’s board.

Having joined AB InBev as a board member in April 2023, Van de Put brings significant experience to the role.

In its announcement, AB InBev referred to Van de Put as a “proven leader in the food, beverage and consumer packaged goods industries.”

As a dual Belgian-American citizen, he has served as chairman and CEO of Mondelez since 2017.

Michel Doukeris, CEO of AB InBev, stated that Van de Put’s vast experience will be “invaluable as we continue to grow and create a future with more cheers.”

Van de Put remarked: “Having spent the past three years on the AB InBev Board, I am supportive of the company’s strategy and ten-year plan. I have been impressed by the company’s talented management team, led by CEO Michel Doukeris, and I look forward to helping AB InBev write the next chapter in brewing history.”

Before his tenure at Mondelez, Van de Put held the position of president and CEO at McCain Foods.

Initially, he joined McCain as COO in 2010 after excelling in roles at major companies like Coca-Cola, Mars, Danone, and Novartis, ascending to CEO in 2011.

This week, Mondelez announced that Amit Banati, formerly CFO at Kellanova, will assume the same position for the Milka creator next month.

Banati is transitioning from Kenvue, a consumer health company known for brands like Listerine and Aveeno, where he currently serves as CFO.
