Rory Bremner hosted the UK’s biggest supply chain event as Matt Laflin and Liam Hammond led the standout winners among fifteen awards recognising
excellence across air, road, rail, maritime and freight
The Multimodal Awards took place last night, Tuesday 30th June, as fifteen awards were presented to the standout businesses and individuals driving the UK’s supply chain sector forward. Held at The Vox, NEC Birmingham on the first evening of Multimodal 2026, the UK’s biggest supply chain event, the awards ceremony brought together industry professionals from across the sector for a celebration of everything that makes UK logistics tick.
Hosting was one of the UK’s best-loved comedians, Rory Bremner, who kept guests entertained throughout an evening that culminated in the Awards’ very first After Show Party, with Vanguard Logistics’ Ian Gill providing the soul soundtrack to close out the night.
Standout Winners
Among the night’s headline honours, Matt Laflin of Kuehne+Nagel was named Multimodal Personality of the Year, Liam Hammond of CMA CGM was crowned Young Logistics Professional of the Year and Maritime Transport took the Sustainability Company of the Year Award – a trio of wins recognising the people and businesses pushing the sector forward.

Having opened its doors on Tuesday at the NEC, Multimodal continues until Thursday 2nd July at the NEC Birmingham, with free entry for all visitors. The remaining two days include conference sessions across multiple theatres featuring Multimodal, Logistics UK, UKWA, RFG, CILT, RHA and the IOE&IT, alongside Day Three’s dedicated skills initiative for schools and colleges.
