Butter Company receives £2.2m funding All Things Butter, investment Food and Beverage Business

British butter brand All Things Butter has successfully closed a seed funding round, securing £2.2 million in investment just six months after its launch. This milestone comes as a testament to the brand’s rapid growth and potential in the market.

Founded in November 2023 by Thomas Straker and Toby Hopkinson, All Things Butter aims to disrupt the traditional heritage-led dairy industry with its unique chef-led approach. The brand introduces a wide range of flavors, prioritizes British farming, and donates 1% of its revenue to a farming charity.

The brand has already made a significant impact with successful launches in major retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Asda, and Ocado. Moving forward, All Things Butter plans to expand its product offerings and distribution to more national retailers, while also setting its sights on establishing an international supply chain.

This latest funding round, spearheaded by private equity firm Access Industries and supported by investment firm Active Partners, follows a previous round of pre-seed funding in September 2023, which raised over £530,000. The brand’s ability to secure substantial investments showcases investor confidence in its potential for growth and success.

With the new funding, All Things Butter aims to not only strengthen its presence in the UK market but also expand into international markets, including the United States and the Middle East. The brand also plans to diversify its product portfolio in 2024 by introducing a range of four butter flavors: Salted, Unsalted, Garlic & Herb, and Chilli.

Co-founder Toby Hopkison expressed his excitement about the brand’s future, stating, “We are delighted to close our second round of investment to continue fueling the growth of All Things Butter. At only six months since launch, we are incredibly grateful for the commitment from our new and existing investors, which will allow us to accelerate our journey even further.

“We have a clear mission to bring heritage butter to modern foodies, showcasing that great butter can elevate everyday eating and even hold nutritional value. We have an exciting year ahead for All Things Butter, so watch this space!”
