Standard Meat Company has recently acquired a new protein processing plant in Texas with the intention of expanding its production capacity to meet the increasing volume demands in the food and beverage industry. The 166,000 square-foot factory, located in Fort Worth, will enable the company to introduce a sous vide line to enhance its operational capabilities.
The Texas-based meat business is committed to leveraging cutting-edge technologies and processes to drive business growth for its clients. CEO and co-president Ben Rosenthal emphasized the company’s dedication to offering out-of-the-box solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs, highlighting the flexibility and innovative approach that the new plant will provide.
Founded in 1935, Standard Meat specializes in supplying customised beef, pork, and poultry products, along with packaging and culinary solutions to foodservice and retail channels. In addition to the latest expansion, in 2022, the company also acquired US private-label sausage and meatball maker Syracuse Sausage, demonstrating its strategic focus on growth and development in the food and drink business. Standard Meat has a longstanding presence in North Texas, operating from four existing plants with the soon-to-be fifth plant catering to the increasing demand in the food and beverage industry.
With the new facility in place, the company is gearing up to explore future technologies and address emerging opportunities, positioning itself as a key player in food and beverage industry trends. This strategic move aligns with the company’s vision of continuous innovation and customer-centric solutions, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the evolving food and drink consumer trends.
