Olidor Group Acquires UK Bakery Brand Four Anjels Bakery and Cereal Food and Beverage Business

Food investment company Olidor Group has successfully acquired a majority stake in Four Anjels, a supplier of baked treats. This strategic move underscores Olidor’s commitment to enhancing its presence in the food and beverage industry.

The financial details of this transaction remain undisclosed. Nevertheless, Olidor articulated that this acquisition will allow them to “expand its product offering,” “open new opportunities” for product development, and enhance “increased production capabilities” along with a “broader market reach.”

Established in 2010, Four Anjels specializes in custom cakes, traybakes, and biscuits, offering a range of gluten-free and vegan selections. Based in Cheltenham, the company operates a factory located in Furlong Park, Bishops Cleeve, and serves both food service and retail sectors. Four Anjels also supplies private label products to notable brands in the food, drink, and gifting sectors, including Pret, Itsu, and Daylesford.

Andrew Ashby, CEO of Olidor Group, described the acquisition as an “exciting milestone for both companies.” He emphasized that by joining forces, they can harness their collective strengths to drive continuous innovation, ultimately benefiting their customers and reinforcing their market position.

Following the acquisition, Four Anjels will continue to operate as a distinct business entity while gaining access to Olidor’s “extensive resources and capabilities.” Andrea Stevens, managing director of Four Anjels, noted that Olidor’s “dedication to quality and innovation is something that aligns deeply with our values.” She expressed enthusiasm about collaborating to leverage their capabilities in delivering even more exciting, sustainable, and innovative products for customers.

Olidor Group boasts a diverse portfolio of specialty food businesses, which includes Brusco Food Group, The Original Baker, and The Artful Baker. In 2023, Olidor reported a remarkable 79% increase in turnover, reaching £23.7 million ($31.38 million). Concurrently, the group achieved a gross profit of £5.3 million, reflecting a 171.6% increase over 2022. Operating profit also saw a significant rise of 26.6%, amounting to £876,541.
