Wall’s has recently introduced two new quiches in Cheese & Bacon and Cheese & Onion flavors. The brand aims to bring fresh excitement to the chilled savory pastry category.

With significant growth in its core categories, Wall’s is now focused on attracting new customers to the quiche segment. Despite being a popular choice in chilled savory pastries, the quiche market is largely dominated by own label products in larger family size formats. To address this, Wall’s has crafted an individual 170g quiche suitable for single-serving occasions to drive growth in the category.

Both quiches are expertly seasoned and feature extra mature Cheddar cheese, single cream, and Dijon mustard encased in a delightful shortcrust pastry. The Cheese & Bacon Quiche boasts beechwood smoked British bacon, while the Cheese & Onion Quiche offers a vegetarian-friendly option with fresh onion and Red Leicester cheese. These options cater to consumers seeking a convenient snack or a meal accompaniment to complement a variety of dishes like salads, soups, or crispy potatoes.

Wall’s Cheese & Bacon Quiche (170g, £2.00 RRP) and Wall’s Cheese & Onion Quiche (170g, £2.00 RRP) are now available across convenience stores.

The launch of these quiches follows Wall’s entry into the food-to-go category earlier this year with the introduction of its Large Sausage Roll and Scotch Egg as snack options in Tesco’s meal deal. This move aligns with the brand’s strategy to explore new formats and cater to diverse occasions in 2024, offering more delicious options to its loyal customer base.

Jason Manley, brand director at Wall’s Pastry, part of The Compleat Food Group, emphasized the brand’s commitment to delivering exceptional food products that add value to consumers. With a focus on smaller quiche sizes and recognizing the lack of strong brand presence in this segment, Wall’s aims to bring a fresh perspective to the category. These new quiches not only promise great taste but also address concerns about food waste.

Looking ahead, Wall’s plans to unveil more offerings throughout the year to cater to various occasions, providing consumers with additional ways to enjoy traditional pastry classics in formats tailored to their preferences. This marks the beginning of an exciting period for Wall’s as it continues to innovate and meet the evolving needs of its clientele.
