Rustlers introduces new food-to-go unit designed for small and medium convenience stores

Rustlers unveils new food-to-go unit for small and medium c-stores

Introducing a new low-risk, low-commitment food-to-go solution, the units come equipped with a digital screen for advertising and a pre-programmed microwave, making them a convenient option for retailers.

To incentivize early adoption, stores that implement these machines before the year’s end will receive a complimentary Rustlers food-to-go launch kit. This kit includes a fully stocked fridge, a light-box shop sign, and access to social media support materials to help promote the availability of hot food in-store.

Priced at just £2,500, these machines offer finance options for added flexibility. According to the chilled ready meals brand, retailers can expect the machines to pay for themselves with just one sale per day.

Setting up the units is a breeze, and cleaning is straightforward, with the machines requiring only a single plug socket for power. Additionally, all Rustlers Cook In The Box products are designed to be microwaved in their packaging, reducing the risk of spills.

Each unit also features a small chiller for storing eight cases of Rustlers’ Cook in The Box top-sellers, optimizing stockroom space and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers. The machines are compatible with all Rustlers’ Cook in The Box products, including favorites like The Supreme Cheese Melt Burger, Peri Peri Chicken Tenders, and All Day Breakfast Sausage Muffin.

Head of convenience at Rustlers, Ross Davison, noted, “With 51% of Rustlers consumed at lunchtime, the brand is already synonymous with being a market leader in quick food solutions on the move.” These new food-to-go units and Launch Kit are part of Rustlers’ commitment to helping smaller stores capitalize on the lunchtime market opportunity.

Currently being introduced in Welcome stores nationwide after a successful trial at the group’s Marchwood location in the New Forest, these machines are receiving positive feedback. Mike Fitton, head of franchise operations for Welcome, mentioned, “The unit is easy for customers and staff to use. The machine is pre-programmed, and staff just have to clean it once a day. Because the products are microwaved in packaging, we rarely get spills, but staff are trained to be on the lookout to avoid allergens being spread.” For Welcome, Rustlers remains the top choice for burgers, providing a plug-and-play option for serving food to go that stands out in the market.
