pladis is expanding the appeal of its popular McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes brand by venturing beyond fruit for the first time in its history with what it believes is its most disruptive yet popular flavor launch yet.

In a strategic move to target younger shoppers seeking innovative and unique flavor combinations, pladis has introduced the limited-edition McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Cola Bottle Flavor. This new product combines the beloved taste of Cola Bottle sweets with the iconic McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes, offering consumers a distinctive and innovative snacking experience.

The McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Cola Bottle Flavor will be available in packs of 10 at Asda starting from June 10th, with a wider rollout planned from the end of July. Independent retailers will have the opportunity to offer a channel-exclusive price-marked pack for £1.25 to capitalize on the product’s popularity.

To further capitalize on the success of the Jaffa Cakes brand, pladis will also launch the new flavor in Cake Bar format. These Cake Bars, featuring the unique cola bottle jelly center, will hit Tesco shelves from July 22nd and will be available more widely from mid-August.

Supported by pladis’ biggest marketing investment in Jaffa Cakes Flavors to date, the McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes Cola Bottle Flavor will be promoted through various channels, including public relations, out-of-home media, social media, influencer collaborations, and in-store activations.
