Meateors aims to disrupt the meat snacking industry with new brand

Pork Farms proudly announces the launch of Meateors, an innovative brand specializing in protein-rich meat snacks that offer ready-to-eat pork meatballs. This new product line aims to introduce excitement and variety within the snack category.

In response to the increasing demand for high-protein, convenient meat snacks, Meateors addresses the market gap for consumers in search of alternatives to chicken. According to Pork Farms, this initiative is well-timed to meet evolving consumer preferences.

The initial launch features three tantalizing meatball recipes, each crafted from 100% pork. These include Spicy Fajita Meateors, Italian Style Herb Meateors, and Sweet BBQ Meateors, all available in 50g portions priced at an RRP of £1.25. Consumers can find these exciting new products this month in the convenience channel, as well as select Morrisons Daily and SPAR stores.

For those craving a spicy kick, the Spicy Fajita Meateors are seasoned with a blend of cumin, chilli, paprika, garlic, onion, and cayenne pepper, perfect for shoppers who appreciate bold flavors. Meanwhile, the Italian Style Herb Meateors celebrate classic Italian ingredients, including parsley, thyme, basil, and oregano. Rounding out the trio, Sweet BBQ Meateors deliver a delightful sweet and savory experience, featuring a base of tomato, vinegar, and mustard.

Notably, Meateors are naturally rich in protein, offering 9g per bag. These ready-to-eat meatballs provide a convenient solution for those looking to enhance their protein intake—ideal for lunch additions, post-workout snacking, or as a delicious on-the-go treat.

Yvonne Adam, Chief Marketing Officer at The Compleat Food Group, which oversees Meateors, highlighted the impressive growth within the meat snacking category. However, she emphasized that shoppers are eager for more variety, as chicken remains the predominant protein—indicating that pork presents a relatively untapped opportunity. She added, “This is where our Meateors come in.”
