Jisp has achieved significant milestones in 2023, with Scan & Save raking in £4.3m for retailers since its launch. Shopper savings through the app reached £875,000 in 2023, marking a notable 31.4% increase from the previous year. This brings the total savings for shoppers through Scan & Save to almost £1.5m since its inception. The app also experienced a 21% increase in the number of shoppers in 2023.

Moreover, the total scans of the app’s AR vouchers saw a 90% upturn in 2023, reaching 1.9 million scans for the year and nearly 3 million scans since its launch. These figures demonstrate the continued growth in engagement with the Scan & Save solution amidst the nation’s efforts to combat inflation and a cost-of-living crisis through discounts.

Jisp’s collaboration with major brands also flourished, with a 41% increase in the number of brand partners trading through the Scan & Save app and an impressive 81% retention rate. Revenues from brands surged by 524% in 2023 compared to the previous year, reflecting the app’s growing appeal to businesses.

In addition, the number of stores trading with Jisp in 2023 surged by 62% compared to 2022, underscoring the increasing popularity of the app. Nisa’s decision to expand its relationship with Jisp contributed to this growth, with high expectations of continued benefits to retailers in 2024.

The increase in the number of active app users and awareness of its benefits align with an intensified targeted marketing and communications strategy. Approximately 1 million targeted emails and 1.3 million in-app push notifications were sent to users, resulting in a surge in engagement.

Notably, Jisp’s competition-based shopper activation service, Scan & Win, gained significant traction in the final quarter of 2023, indicating its potential to drive further customer engagement.

Jisp’s managing director, Ilann Hepworth, expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance, stating, “We delighted with how we ended 2023 and we’re looking forward to another fast start in 2024. It’s also pleasing that through what has been a tough year for shoppers we were able to provide savings of approaching £1m in a single year, including some strong pre-Christmas promotions to help out over the festive period.

We’ve got lots more to come in 2024, we’re set to launch a number of global campaigns with commercial partners from this February and we have another big UK wholesale announcement following on from the launch of our wholesale platform, which we believe will be a real game changer. Watch this space!”
