Supported by over 100 sponsors, the event brought together thousands of colleagues, from the factory floor to the head office, to support GroceryAid, the charity that supports the industry. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a stellar lineup of live music and entertainment.
Headlining the Skittles Stage was 90s superstar DJ, Fatboy Slim, along with girl band icons Sugababes and last year’s Eurovision runner-up, Sam Ryder.
Attracting the crowds on the Swan Stage were EastEnders star Shaun Williamson, bringing Barrioke, as well as Ella Vaday and Kitty Scott-Claus. DJ Tinchy Strider also took the stage. Meanwhile, the M&S Demo Kitchen showcased celebrity chefs Ainsley Harriott, Rosemary Schrager, and Fred Sirieix.
Jane Hill, director of fundraising, marketing, and engagement, expressed her pride in the event’s growth. She highlighted how Barcode has become an iconic event in the industry calendar and has raised a record-breaking amount of funds this year. The event is crucial in enabling GroceryAid to provide free and confidential support services to anyone working in the grocery sector.
Ticket holders were treated to complimentary food, drinks, and giveaways from the event’s extensive list of sponsors. Immersive activations, a variety of drinks bars, and delicious food options were available for all attendees to enjoy.
Looking ahead, Barcode Festival 2024 is scheduled to take place on July 4, 2024, at Magazine, London. Tickets for the event are now available through GroceryAid’s website.
