Introducing a pre-mixed Espresso Martini with a 14.9% ABV, conveniently packaged in a 125ml can. This exceptional blend combines barista-quality coffee with a double measure of premium vodka, ensuring an unparalleled flavor experience.

Taste enthusiasts will appreciate its “smooth and rich with a little chocolatey sweetness.” This new ready-to-drink Espresso Martini is readily available at WHSmith and Waitrose, as well as in Grind’s restaurants and coffee shops. For online orders, customers can visit Grind’s official website.

Grind initiated its journey by opening its first café in Shoreditch, East London, in 2011. Since then, the company has proudly sold nearly a million espresso martinis, complemented by a state-of-the-art coffee roastery that enhances its coffee shops and restaurants.

The roaster is strategically tapping into the growing trend of brand extensions in the coffee sector as well as the rapid growth in ready-to-drink (RTD) products.

According to the Lumina Intelligence report Coffee Trends 2025, RTD coffee formats are experiencing significant acceleration, closely aligned with the expanding food-to-go market. Thus, the global RTD coffee market reached an estimated $30 billion in 2023, with projections indicating substantial growth by 2025.

In the UK, RTD coffee sales are on the rise as consumers increasingly seek convenient, barista-style beverages for their busy lifestyles.

The report states: “What once belonged primarily to major players such as Starbucks, Costa and Jimmy’s Coffee now shares shelf space with speciality roasters including Grind, Hunt & Brew and Pact. Their arrival signals a shift towards higher quality, traceable provenance, and lower-sugar formulations.”

While non-alcoholic RTD formats continue to accompany workers’ lunches, they also attract younger consumers looking for refreshing options.

Interestingly, the report highlights that older, more discerning coffee consumers are now over-indexing in coffee occasions compared to the overall out-of-home market.

Moreover, the growth of RTD cocktails is also ongoing. Recently, Brewdog Distilling Co.’s Wonderland Cocktails range secured listings in 460 Sainsbury’s and 220 Waitrose stores, further emphasizing the thriving market.
