The campaign marks a successful continuation of last year’s partnership, where 40 leading retailers generously donated cases of SBF GB&I stock to causes close to their hearts. This year, the impact was even greater, with 50 retailers across England, Scotland, and Wales donating over 90 pallets of Ribena, Ribena Sparkling, and Orangina – equivalent to approximately 9,000 cases of stock – to various community projects.

Notable participants in this year’s charity donation drive include Trudy Davis from Woosnam and Davies in Llanidloes, Ian Lewis from Spar Minster Lovell, Samantha Coldbeck from Wharfedale Premier in Hull, Natalie Lightfoot from Londis Solo Convenience in Glasgow, and Bobby Singh from BB Superstore in Featherstone.

Wholesale partners Parfetts, United Wholesale Scotland, Splendour Wholesale, and Amrit Singh of H & Jodie’s Nisa in Walsall joined in as distribution and collection points for retailers, making this a collective effort.

This charity partnership aligns perfectly with SBF GB&I’s core value of ‘Growing For Good,’ emphasizing the company’s commitment to giving back to society across consumers, customers, and communities as they continue to grow. This value has led to various collaborations, including an ongoing partnership with FareShare, a charity dedicated to tackling hunger and reducing food waste in the UK.

By redistributing surplus stock to charity partners, SBF GB&I not only minimizes food waste but also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, creating a positive and virtuous cycle of ‘Growing for Good’.

Notably, last year marked a significant milestone with SBF GB&I donating three million drinks to FareShare.

Natalie Lightfoot expressed her enthusiasm for this year’s initiative, calling it an excellent way to support the local community. She acknowledged the challenging times for shoppers and the increased efforts of charitable organizations, highlighting the positive impact that initiatives like this can have. She shared, “This partnership with SBF GB&I will further assist our local charity partners and the people who mean the most to our store – the individuals in our local area.”

Bobby Singh from BB Superstore & Post Office in Featherstone, West Yorkshire, expressed his gratitude on LinkedIn, thanking Lucozade Ribena Suntory and their team for supporting the local community through this initiative. He mentioned that the donated stock would make a difference to charities, youth clubs, and organizations, emphasizing the positive impact it would have on their communities.

Alpesh Mistry, SBF GB&I’s sales director, expressed his satisfaction in partnering with these exceptional retailers and the incredible causes they have supported. He recognized their efforts in helping those in need in their local areas, embodying the ‘Growing For Good’ value at SBF GB&I. Mistry further emphasized the company’s commitment to giving back to society by supporting their retail partners and assisting them in playing a vital role within their communities.
